Meet Craig Franzen

An accomplished real estate professional, Craig Franzen expertly guides his clients through the complex process of buying or selling property in the competitive Chicagoland market. Prior to earning his broker’s license in 2015, Craig was a successful self-funded trader at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and Chicago Board of Trade. There in that high-stress, fast-paced environment, he sharpened many of the skills that now bring value and benefit to his Dream Town clients. Undaunted by tight timelines, composed under pressure and skilled with data analysis, Craig is a tenacious negotiator who steadfastly advocates for his client’s best interest.

Focused on providing exceptional service, Craig’s clients can rely on him to be up-to-date on real estate trends and data. In addition, he is a certified Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA) and Seller Representative Specialist (SRS). A clear and effective communicator, Craig ensures that his clients have the information they need to make informed decisions at each step of their transaction. Carefully cultivated over the years, his extensive professional network of inspectors, lenders, attorneys and tradespeople is another resource that Craig relies upon to achieve his client’s goals. Beyond his professional skill set, Craig also brings a deeply personal approach to every transaction—giving the same level of service to each client whether they’re a first-time buyer, renter, seller, or seasoned investor.

A strong believer in engaging with peers and community, Craig has served in several volunteer positions including as a Board Member with the Friends of Mitchell Elementary School and as Vice President of the Mary Bartelme Park Advisory Council. His children are both athletic and their sports teams have also become an important part of Craig’s life. He coached the Chicago Jets Hockey Club for two years and continues to actively participate in youth sports. His daughter plays hockey for the Windy City Storm and lacrosse for the Elmhurst Honey Badgers and Lakeshore Lacrosse. His son is a member of the Chicago Bulldogs Youth Hockey Club and also plays lacrosse for the Chicago Junkyard Dogs and True Lacrosse.

Over the past 25 years, Craig has lived in various neighborhoods across Chicago, from Little Italy to Ukrainian Village. He personally witnessed the transformation of the West Loop between 2004 and 2019 and has shepherded his clients through the ups and downs of Chicagoland’s real estate market. Indeed, Craig possesses the personal experience, professional expertise and market knowledge to ensure his client’s success.
